I first started getting coached by Ewan under a year ago. I asked him if he could get me in shape for a holiday and that he did! I enjoyed the training and nutrition so much I stayed on with him and for months did a bulking phase most of which was through lockdown. During lockdown he gave me great home workouts with the equipment I had, still doing check ins every week and still pushing me to make as much progress as we could with what we had. After lockdown he has added more training techniques, exercises & changed nutrition as and when needed. I have been training since around 16 years old and thought I knew quite a bit, but since being coached by Ewan I have learnt more in under a year than I did in 10 years doing my own.
I have learnt different training techniques, correct form, that food isn't the enemy but more so I have learnt how far I can push myself and not just go through the motions during training which most of the time, I did!
I have learnt that form is absolutely everything. I've threw my ego out the door and now I actually think what muscle i'm trying to work. You think the simplest of exercises I would get right but even on some of them I was doing wrong. Since sending form correction videos into Ewan, he has taught me a vast amount of how to isolate each muscle during the exercise.
I have learnt that food isn't the enemy. Before Ewan I was literally terrified of eating too much, wouldn't eat carbs, be drained all the time and not enjoying workouts because I had zero energy. Using the correct foods, at the correct times for my goals is so important. From the feedback of check ins Ewan analyses what foods and drink work with my body and what doesn't. Even last week he told me to ditch the pre work out and use coffee instead and he was right!
The only supplement I used to take was whey protein after the gym. I have learnt alot about supplements I had never even heard of before starting with Ewan. For example, I suffer with anxiety which I take medication for and sometimes have quite a stressful job, with it being a family business. He put Ashwaganda on my plan which I didn't have a clue what it was and it really does help to manage stress levels. I have also learnt the importance on intra shakes and carbs to help fuel my workouts.
I used to train in the week but go out drinking most weekends, which basically put any kind of progress to a halt. Being coached by Ewan has helped be accountable to him and myself. I now put my training, nutrition and progress in both the gym, work life and relationship over anything and it has completely changed me as a person. I used to get excited every weekend about going out and getting smashed to put it bluntly, now I get excited about getting in the gym and reaching new goals. Even so, I have thought about competing, in which Ewan is going to have a good chat with me about and give me some advice. The gym is my new going out! haha
So at the start I was 13 stone 5 and waist was 85cm. I am now just under 15 stone and waist is 86cm at the start of a diet phase. So, after this diet phase I will be heavier and leaner showing ive added more muscle which i'm more than happy about. If i make progress both mentally and physically week on week, month on month, year on year, i'm happy!
My biggest win would be how I've changed as a person, my priorities have changed and I've basically grew up! haha and I've got Ewan to thank for that.
I chose Ewan as a coach because of his knowledge and passion for training and bodybuilding. I knew Ewan in college and know he has always been passionate about training. The knowledge he has gained over the years is second to none of how the body works in regards to both nutrition and training.
Quality tailored nutrition and training plans, help on a personal level regarding stress, anxieties etc, easy communication, passion for helping others achieve their goals whether it's to get in shape for a holiday, prep for a show or gain some serious size!
Love both the training and nutrition. Eating 5-7 meals a day depending on goals at the time and getting in the best shape ive ever been in. So no unsustainable, fad diets here. Just correct nutrition and hard graft! It's all very easy to understand and if I don't understand anything I just asked and he explains.
Communication is very easy. For example, he explains everything well with regards to form corrections vids, doesn't take ages to reply even though he has many clients to reply to, and trains/competes himself as well!

I have trained with Ewan now since October of last year. I wanted to get leaner and stronger and knew Ewan had the knowledge to help me achieve my goals. Having Ewan to be held accountable to, makes a huge difference to my mindset and my training. Since starting with him I have learnt there is so much more to lifting a dumbbell and a bar than just actually lifting it, It's absolutely all in the technique. It's not about how heavy you can lift. It really is quality over quantity. His support and knowledge is second to none. The knowledge he has about nutrition and timing of the right foods at the right times is impeccable. When I first started I didn't take any supplements except the odd iron tablet or multivitamin. Now it's a morning ritual and an after workout one too. They have helped my digestive system and made a difference to me too.
I've suffered with anxiety in the past and have forgone a course of CBT whilst I have been training with Ewan, He was very supportive during this time when I didn't want to train, he gave me the time to rest and to recuperate, he understood and supported me in getting back into doing what i love doing and training actually helps my mind more than i knew.
Weekly check-ins with Ewan are great, He asks all the right questions more than I expected. I thought it would have been a case of here's my weight and here's my measurements but Ewan checks in on how you've slept , how your appetite has been and a few other things too. He is always on hand to answer any questions I have, explains himself well and to the point.
I have really enjoyed my time with Ewan and continue to do so whilst we progress forward and upwards. I would most definitely recommend Ewan to anyone who is serious about looking to gain knowledge around training and nutrition. He is your man!!! I used to enjoy training but now I love it and how it makes me feel. I can't wait for the next time to go even when we've just walked out of the gym.....And I believe Ewan is mostly to thank for this!

I’ve been working with Ewan since the start of 2020, including online coaching, diet and training plans, PT. I was relatively new to training, a little experience but I had never trained with structure or purpose before coming to him. But a big thing for me
TRUST THE PROCESS! you are paying for his advice and guidance and that he knows much more about the subject than you do. As such, do EVERYTHING you are told to do. Don’t cut corners, and if the plan isn’t followed, be honest as to how and why.
I’ve learnt finally How to train with intensity! I thought I was pushing myself hard before I had some PT with Ewan. But he completely changed my mindset and I soon realised I had much more to give, whether that was reps or weight. Once I learnt to push my working sets to the max, progress was made much quicker.
everyone is different and there isn’t ‘one diet that fits all’. I now understand what foods work for me and we tend to build the diets around those which sit and digest well rather than just ‘chicken and rice’ 6x a day!
I think my progress pictures speak a thousand words here. But beyond that, the journey has been emotional and educational. Each phase has been explained clearly and I’ve been able to understand why we do X at point Y etc.
18 months in and I’m very satisfied with progress. I’m driven and hungrier than I ever have been, so much so that I intend to make my stage debut in the next 12 months.
I’d seen the results he had with a friend of mine. Once I’d spoken to him and he talked me through what you offer (beyond PT) I knew it was for.
Ewan effectively becomes a mentor to us clients. He probably don’t realise that but when I was in the arse end of the diet and barely felt like a functioning human, it was reassuring to have a friendly check in that wasn’t purely focussed on training and diet, and considered mental health, family life and fatigue too!
Everything is Structured, simple to understand. I appreciate the choices too so I can choose foods that work best for me (eg - 250g cod OR 200g chicken OR 200g Turkey mince).

If picture's don't say it all here's an inside of my time with Ewan. I was with him for a couple of years, my goals to him when I started was to bulk and cut.
Biggest thing I learnt straight away from him was eating, most people like myself think losing weight is eating less. Biggest mistake I made, with Ewan's plans in place I was achieving goals in weeks while eating more and enjoying it
Straight away Ewan told me about supplements, what's good and what's "useless". Listening to my coach rather than big brands shows not everything they advertise is needed as they make out to be. The intra workout supplements shake he's told me to have improved my performance massively during workouts and recovery was cut by half. His knowledge is second to non!
Each week my progress reports I was sending were improving. At one point I wasn't happy how I was looking on picture's to how I am in person. Ewan seen the changes he wanted but for me I couldn't see nothing until he shown me a before and after from 4 weeks apart, showing Ewan's got an trained eye to see changes more than I did.
Reason behind me choosing Ewan is because his background in body building and what he's learning from the pro's which got passed to me and other clients. My overall goals was reached adding Lbs of muscle and cutting all body fat to a low percentage.
Would I recommend Ewan? 100%. I already have with a close friend which has already seen impressive results. So from start to finish my biggest win is exactly what I wanted, size and lean. Best part about it is that Ewan made it easy, all it takes is good communication and dedication.

I chose to take up nutrition coaching with Ewan as after many conversations and observations of himself as an athlete I was made aware of his vast knowledge base in not only aesthetics but performance.
My goals while under Ewan where to compete to the highest level possible as a 105kg IPF powerlifter, this required cutting weight while trying to push all parameters of strength during this period.
Even with the goal of cutting down to 105kg I was well fed and my workouts even felt better with the correct timing of nutrition around training sessions.
I learnt a lot and realised what a huge impact nutrition can have on performance as an athlete.
After the lockdown period I have a new goal in a higher weight class to again compete to a higher level but now with the limiter of a weight class not being a factor, I will be using Ewan again moving forward as I believe he is one of the best coaches out there. Knowledgebase AND practical applications to himself through high level bodybuilding make him an asset to any athlete whether it is aesthetics or performance.

Our time had started from physio and helping with improving my mobility after an ACL tear. From there it evolved into training and nutrition, and over the time I have learnt a lot about types of food to eat, and when to eat them, and the right way to slowly increase/decrease calories to get the best gains, without piling on fat, and little muscle. You should be getting most nutrition from the meal and therefore supplements are only to fill any gaps. The main one is on training days such as legs and back, the introduction of cyclic dextrin and glutamine to help with energy levels, to keep them ups whilst training was huge in my progress and supplements I have never used before and reaped the rewards from their introduction
training has improved over the time, and with guidance and knowledge on tweaking exercises, I’ve been able to get stronger and have the confidence to try new exercises and lift heavier weights.
The biggest take-away I’ve learnt is the importance around meal timings, and the type of food you should be eating. other areas are the importance of intensity in training, and little tweaks in performing exercises correctly, such as no bouncing or swinging the rep, targeting the muscle to make the lift.
The main things I’ve learnt and taken away is little tweaks in how exercises are performed and to help target the muscle. Things such as no bouncing the reps at the bottom, but having a slight pause is key to recruiting muscle fibres. Also Without the intensity being there in training, muscle won’t grow, and you won’t progress. My strength has increased over time, as well as finally breaking the weight barrier I was stuck at for ages. I’ve also learnt how to perform exercises better and gained more confidence in lifting heavier weights.
My biggest win is probably breaking the weight I was stuck at for years, and finally hitting 90kg. Other wins have been gaining confidence in everyday life.
I approached Ewan as a coach as he has years of experience, not just in training, but also as a nutritionist and a physicist. You’re able to understand how all 3 work together and know when to tweak areas as even the little changes make a big difference. Plus, you can have a laugh and a chat with him, which makes training (and physio) a lot more fun.
The programme was Very easy to understand, plus having several options to choose from where I can pick and choose on what to eat. This helps with the understanding on types of food to look out for, and how you can mix and match food to suit. Full of knowledge and you have a keen eye for tweaking how exercises are performed, and you explain things in a way that’s easy to grasp.
You do a cracking job, and are passionate about helping people achieve a better version of themselves.
